location photography
Location shoots involve moving out of the comfort of one’s studio, to the client’s premises and setting up a makeshift studio there. This presents quite a challenge to the photographer as flexibility is quite limited and you will have to make do with whatever resources are available at the location. However, there is the advantage that the environment of the product is set in place. Different locations give the photographer the opportunity to experiment with different techniques. For instance, in the case of an outdoor location such as a college or an institution, the vastness of the buildings and the grandeur of the infrastructure will have to be covered. However, the requirements would be different for indoor photo shoots such as salons, spas etc. In my experience with location shoots, it is important to think on your feet, as everything may not go as planned by the photographer.
