industrial photography
A sharp contrast from other forms of photography, industrial photography is quite difficult, primarily because of the uninteresting nature of the subjects – machinery. The challenge for the photographer is to get the best industrial shots while shooting machinery and equipment which generally tend to not be very visually appealing. That being said, however, I enjoy offering commercial and industrial photography services, because I need to employ many different techniques to get the best shots. Lighting conditions can be quite tricky and controlling the light becomes a challenge. Shadows, reflections and limited lighting are possible difficult areas.
Most industrial photo shoots take place at the factories or the location of the equipment. There is very limited flexibility, as it is almost impossible to move the heavy machinery to the preferred angles. The comfort of working in the silence of an indoor photo studio is lost, as the photographer will have to work in between the noise and activity of a factory. It is with complete undivided concentration that I have clicked some of my best industrial photography shots.
