The beauty and the beast – capturing them both in one shot; I believe that pretty much sums up automobile photography. The sleekness and beauty of the machine as well as the strength of the beast needs to be captured. In my recent Renault Nissan shoot, we had to construct an all white five sided box set to get some of our best shots. Playing with the lighting to highlight the curves, depths and cuts of the car is most important. It should look sleek, yet powerful. However, while shooting for TAFE tractors, it was all about the strength and power of the machines there. They were mean machines of power and had to be projected in just that way.
